"Mark my words, I am not stepping down": Joe Biden
"I wouldn't have run if I didn't have complete faith in my ability to defeat Donald Trump in 2024,"
Rallying in a fierce tone, President Biden joined MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Monday to assert his unwavering presence in the 2024 presidential race.
Addressing hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough, who have been vocal supporters of the White House, Biden declared with conviction, “I am here to stay. I will not be budging an inch.”
“I wouldn’t have run if I didn’t have complete faith in my ability to defeat Donald Trump in 2024,” he asserted. “The voters have spoken clearly and I have earned 14 million of their votes.”
When Brzezinski referred to Biden as the “presumptive Democratic nominee,” the president chuckled and boldly stated, “I am far more than presumptive. I will be the nominee.”
Speaking over the phone from the White House, Biden shared that he has been traveling across the nation for the past 10 days to confirm that his “gut feeling” was right – the Democratic Party still wants him as their nominee. He has faced pressure from his own party and the media to step down after his shaky performance in the debates and reports of mental and cognitive decline.
He also dismissed any claims of former President Trump gaining popularity among voters since their intense debate on June 27, stating that his travels were meant to dispel such notions.
Brzezinski grilled Biden on his disastrous debate and how he could prevent it from happening again. In response, Biden said, “Just look at my track record. I haven’t had many of those nights. It was a dreadful performance and I deeply regret that it took place.” Khakitv.pk
