Operation Resolute Stability is being politicized: Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry
Some political parties have tried to use this campaign for political purposes: Spokesperson Pak Army
Spokesperson of the Pakistan Army, Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said that the commitment to stability is being used as politics.
Pakistan Army Spokesperson Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, while holding a press conference on the country’s security situation and issues related to national security, has put forward several important points. He has particularly expressed serious concern over the Operation Resolute Stabilization and the politics surrounding it.
Spokesman of Pakistan Army said that determination is not only a military operation but a comprehensive campaign against terrorism. The aim of this campaign is to eliminate the links between terrorists and criminal mafia.
He said that some political parties have tried to use this campaign for political purposes and as a result, a big political mafia has emerged in the country.
The spokesperson says that the issue of national unity has also been subjected to politics. Some political parties are misleading the people and trying to make them believe that people are being evicted from their homes as part of Operation Zazm-e-Shattab.
The spokesman said that the army has been carrying out continuous operations against terrorism and this year 398 terrorists including 31 most wanted terrorists have been killed.
However, along with terrorists, digital terrorism has also become a major problem. A lot of propaganda is being done on social media against the army and military leadership.
The spokesperson also spoke about unregistered madrasas, benami properties and accounts, non-customs paid vehicles and bannu incident.
He also expressed serious concern over the letting loose of May 9 planners and facilitators.
The spokesman clarified that the establishment of law and order is the responsibility of the provincial government.
