Islamabad: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has registered a record 2,864 new companies in July 2024, marking a 25% increase compared to the same month last year. This is the highest number of company registrations in a single month. With these additions, the total number of registered companies with SECP has now reached 225,561.

- Private Limited Companies: Approximately 58% of the newly registered companies were private limited.
- Single Member Companies: 39% were single member companies.
- Other Categories: The remaining 39% comprised public non-listed companies, non-profit organizations, trade associations, and limited liability partnerships.
- Online Registrations: A significant 99.8% of these companies were registered online.

- Major Investors: China led with investment in 64 companies, followed by Turkey (3), Afghanistan and the UK (2 each), and other countries investing in one company each.
In July 2024, the SECP registered a record number of new companies, demonstrating significant growth and interest in the Pakistani market. The vast majority of these registrations were conducted online, reflecting advancements in digital administrative processes.
