Bachan Family’s Wealth Estimated at ₹1600 Crore
Amitabh Bachchan Reveals How His Estate Will Be Divided Among His Children
Mumbai: Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan has previously shared details about how his estate will be distributed among his children after his passing. Amid recent speculation about a potential divorce between his son Abhishek Bachchan and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai, media and social platforms have been revisiting Bachchan’s 2011 interview where he discussed his estate planning.
In the interview, Amitabh Bachchan clarified his intentions to divide his estate equally between his daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda and his son Abhishek Bachchan. He stated, “I made a decision that I would not differentiate between my children. When I am gone, whatever I have will be equally divided between my daughter and son. Jaya and I decided this a long time ago.”
Bachchan emphasized his belief in equal rights for his children, saying, “Everyone says that a daughter is an outsider, but in my view, she is our daughter and has the same rights as Abhishek.” It is worth noting that last year, Amitabh Bachchan gifted his daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda the family bungalow ‘Jalsa,’ valued at approximately ₹50 crore at the time.
Amitabh Bachchan and his family recently made headlines when the Hurun India Rich List 2024 named him as the fourth richest Bollywood personality. According to the list, the Bachchan family’s total net worth is estimated to be ₹1,600 crore.
This substantial wealth underscores the Bachchan family’s prominent status in Indian cinema and their influence both financially and culturally. Amitabh Bachchan’s approach to estate distribution reflects his commitment to fairness and equality among his children, providing clarity and assurance regarding the future handling of his estate.
