Dave Grohl Reveals Birth of Child Outside of Marriage

Dave Grohl, the renowned frontman of Foo Fighters, has publicly acknowledged fathering a child outside of his marriage. The musician shared the news through a heartfelt statement on his Instagram account.

In his announcement, Grohl disclosed that he has recently welcomed a daughter from a relationship outside of his marriage. He expressed his intention to be a devoted and supportive parent to the new child, stating, “I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her.”

Grohl’s statement also emphasized his commitment to his family, saying, “I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.” He requested privacy and understanding as his family navigates this situation, adding, “We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”

The musician did not provide additional details regarding the newborn or her mother. Grohl’s personal life has been in the spotlight previously; he has been married to Jordyn Blum since 2003, with whom he has three daughters born in 2006, 2009, and 2014. Prior to his marriage to Blum, Grohl was married to photographer Jennifer Leigh Youngblood from 1994 to 1997. Grohl has publicly acknowledged that infidelity contributed to the dissolution of his previous marriage.

Despite this personal development, Grohl and Foo Fighters have maintained a busy schedule. The band has been touring extensively this summer to promote their latest album, But Here We Are, which was released last year. They are scheduled to perform next at the Soundside Music Festival in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on September 29.
