Suspect Afzal Arrested for Reconnaissance in Javed Butt Murder Case
LAHORE – A new suspect has been arrested in connection with the murder of Javed Butt, the brother-in-law of prime suspect Taifi Butt, in the Amir Balaj murder case. The suspect, identified as Afzal, was apprehended by the Organized Crime Unit (OCU) in the vicinity of Kasur.
According to OCU officials, Afzal had conducted reconnaissance from Javed Butt’s residence to the crime scene prior to the murder. Following the incident, Afzal managed to flee the area. The police are also on the lookout for another suspect named Arif, who is believed to be involved in the case.
Two days ago, authorities arrested two suspects, including the shooter responsible for Javed Butt’s murder. The shooter, Azhar, was captured in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and is accused of firing the fatal shots.
The ongoing investigation aims to uncover the full extent of the criminal network involved in this case.
