Punjab Bureaucracy Implements Multiple Transfers and Appointments
Dr. Anush Masood’s Services Transferred to Federal Government; Muhammad Naveed Appointed SSP Investigations Lahore
Lahore : The Punjab bureaucracy has announced a series of transfers and appointments for various officials. Dr. Anush Masood, the SSP of Investigations in Lahore, has been transferred to federal duties, while Muhammad Naveed has been appointed as the new SSP of Investigations in Lahore.
According to reports, the Inspector General of Punjab has ordered the transfer of Dr. Anush Masood Chaudhry, who has been relieved from his duties in Punjab and is now required to report to the Chief Secretary’s office at the federal level. Muhammad Naveed, who previously served as the AIG Finance, has taken over the role of SSP Investigations in Lahore.
Dr. Anush Masood Chaudhry served as SSP for over a year. In addition to this major change, several other appointments have been made:
- Assistant Commissioner (AC) Pakpattan, Muhammad Naeem Bashir, has been sent for training, leading to Manwar Hussain’s appointment as AC Pakpattan.
- Sohail Riaz, the Section Officer from the Home Department, has been transferred to serve as AC Hafizabad.
- Shaza Rehman, AC Sillanwali, has been directed to report to the Services Department.
- Jamshed Iqbal, Section Officer in the Irrigation Department, is now the AC Sillanwali.
- Nisar Shahzad, AC Muzaffargarh, has also been sent for training, with Muhammad Irfan appointed as his successor.
- Salman Akbar, AC Taxila, is undergoing training, while Waqas Abbas has been designated as his replacement.
- Hassan Nazar, AC Chobara, has been sent for training, and Sanaullah, Section Officer in Higher Education, will now serve as AC Chobara.
- Other significant changes include appointments for AC Gujranwala Sadir, AC Jhelum, and AC Tandlianwala.
These changes come as part of an ongoing effort to streamline the bureaucracy and improve governance within the province. The government emphasizes the importance of training and development for officials to enhance their capabilities in public service.
