New York: The Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, has condemned the ongoing Israeli military operations in Gaza, labeling them as genocide against the Palestinian people.
During his speech at the United Nations General Assembly, he characterized the Israeli bombardment as “blatant aggression” and described the situation as one of the worst genocides that Palestinians have faced at the hands of the Israeli military. He emphasized that such acts are not only morally reprehensible but also constitute crimes under international law.
Sheikh Tamim called for immediate international action to halt the violence and protect civilians in Gaza. He urged the global community to recognize their responsibility in addressing the humanitarian crisis and to work towards a just resolution that upholds the rights of the Palestinian people.
The 79th annual session of the General Assembly continues, with world leaders discussing various global issues, including the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East. Sheikh Tamim’s remarks reflect a growing concern among Arab states regarding the humanitarian impact of the conflict and the need for urgent intervention.
In addition, he highlighted the importance of solidarity among nations to address these pressing issues and emphasized that lasting peace can only be achieved through dialogue and mutual respect for human rights.
