Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued a notification imposing a fixed excise duty of 5,000 rupees on air tickets for labor visas to Gulf countries. This decision is aimed at regulating the tax on travel documentation for Pakistani citizens traveling to these countries for employment purposes.
According to the notification, under Section 3 (B) of the Table 2 of the First Schedule of the Federal Excise Act 2005, a fixed tax of 5,000 rupees will be collected on each air ticket for labor visas issued for Gulf countries.
