Severe Israeli Attacks in Lebanon: 492 Killed, Hundreds Injured Including Women and Children
Beirut: Israeli forces have launched extensive attacks in Lebanon, particularly targeting Hezbollah positions in the Bekaa Valley. According to reports from Arab media, the Lebanese news agency has indicated that over 180 aerial strikes were carried out in the Nabatiyeh area within just half an hour. These assaults have resulted in the deaths of 492 individuals, including women and children, while hundreds more have been injured.
The Israeli military has announced its intention to continue attacking Hezbollah’s locations and has ordered civilians to evacuate areas surrounding these targets.
Meanwhile, foreign news agencies report that Israeli forces arrested five Palestinians, including a girl, in Bethlehem. Additionally, dozens of Palestinians, including children, were taken into custody from a village in the occupied West Bank.
On the other hand, Hezbollah claims it has launched several attacks on Israeli military positions, targeting areas including the occupied Shebaa Farms and northern Israel. On Sunday, Hezbollah reportedly used medium-range missiles to strike various targets, hitting locations up to 50 kilometers south of their border.
This escalation in violence underscores the ongoing conflict in the region and the humanitarian crisis it has generated. The significant civilian casualties raise urgent concerns regarding international humanitarian law and the protection of non-combatants in conflict zones. Human rights organizations and international bodies are called upon to respond to the deteriorating situation and provide aid to affected populations.
