10 civilian sailors killed in Hormuz, says US Secretary of State
“US forces will continue targeting drones and boats that pose a threat,” he says

Washington: US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that 10 civilian sailors were killed in the Strait of Hormuz amid the ongoing conflict.
Rubio stated that US forces will continue targeting drones and boats that pose a threat. He added that the US is increasing deployments to protect commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz and urged Iran to accept reality and come to the negotiating table.
He also said that Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff are working on negotiations, adding that President Donald Trump wants the Iranian people to have the ability to stand against the regime.
Rubio claimed that US sanctions are costing Iran approximately $500 million per day. He further stated that “Operation Epic Fury” has been completed and its objectives achieved, adding that “Project Freedom” is aimed at saving lives, not attacking anyone.
He stressed that Iran cannot be allowed to control the Strait of Hormuz, calling it an international waterway that no single country can dominate. He also claimed that seven Iranian fast boats had been destroyed.
