Karachi: Mufti Taqi Usmani Addresses Palestine Conference, Calls for Action
Mufti Taqi Usmani Urges Donors to Contribute to Palestine Instead of Performing Voluntary Umrah
In a powerful speech at the Palestine Conference held in Karachi, Mufti Taqi Usmani emphasized the importance of solidarity with the people of Palestine. He stated, “Today, we have gathered for a single purpose, and this is also a form of jihad.”
Mufti Usmani urged those intending to perform voluntary Umrah to consider donating their funds to support the struggle in Palestine, reinforcing that assisting the Muslims of Gaza is an obligation for every Muslim.
Describing the event as a unique night in Karachi’s history, he noted the presence of scholars from various schools of thought, highlighting a united front against oppression. He criticized the Muslim world’s subservience to Western powers, saying, “Muslim countries have donned the yoke of Western dominance.”
He praised the resilience of the Mujahideen, stating that they have proven that no worldly power can intimidate them. He asserted that Israel’s aspirations to eliminate Hamas have not materialized, and it is the responsibility of every Muslim to assist the Palestinians in any way possible.
Mufti Usmani called on leaders to move beyond mere verbal support and take concrete actions to help Gaza, stressing that while direct military confrontation may not be feasible, providing aid to the beleaguered population is an essential duty for every believer.
This conference serves as a rallying point for Muslims to unite in their support for Palestine, reinforcing the urgent need for practical assistance in the ongoing struggle for justice and freedom.
