Case Filed Against Imran Khan and Ghandapur for Attempted Murder and Terrorism

Imran Khan and key PTI leaders named in FIR following violent protests, with serious charges including assault on police and state property damage.

Islamabad – A case has been registered against Imran Khan, the founder of PTI, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Ghandapur, along with others, for attempted murder and terrorism.

The case, filed on behalf of the government at the Noon police station, names Imran Khan, Ali Amin Ghandapur, Azam Swati, Omar Ayub, Barrister Saif, PTI Islamabad president Aamir Mughal, and Hafeez ur Rehman Teepo, along with 500 unidentified individuals.

Serious Charges Included

The FIR includes serious charges such as attempted murder, violations of the Anti-Terrorism Act, rioting, attacking the state, and assaulting police personnel. According to the complaint, over 500 demonstrators allegedly assaulted police officers at the instigation of Khan and Ghandapur. It is claimed that Constable Abdul Hamid was abducted and tortured by the protesters, who attacked police with sticks, stones, and iron rods.

The complaint further states that the demonstrators tore the uniforms of police officers, opened fire, used tear gas, and injured them. They are also accused of vandalizing and setting fire to public and government property while raising slogans against the government and the state.

It is notable that during the PTI protests, police officer Abdul Hamid was subjected to severe violence, leading to his hospitalization, where he succumbed to his injuries after two days.
