PSL 11: Hyderabad Kingsmen beat Multan Sultans by 8 wickets in first Eliminator

Lahore: In the first eliminator of Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 11, Hyderabad Kingsmen registered a convincing 8-wicket victory over Multan Sultans in a one-sided contest at Gaddafi Stadium.
Multan Sultans, batting first after losing the toss, posted 159 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Shan Masood remained the top scorer with an unbeaten 69, while Faisal Akram contributed 4 not out. Other batters included Mohammad Nawaz (18), Sahibzada Farhan (15), Steven Smith (13), Ashton Turner (9), Peter Siddle (9), Josh Philippe (6), Mohammad Imran (2), and Arafat Minhas (1).
For Hyderabad Kingsmen, Mohammad Ali, Aaqib Javed, and Hunain Shah picked up two wickets each, while Saim Ayub and Glenn Maxwell claimed one wicket apiece.
Chasing a target of 160 runs, Hyderabad Kingsmen reached 162 for the loss of 2 wickets in just 15.2 overs, securing a comfortable win. Osman Khan scored 64 runs, while captain Marnus Labuschagne made 11 before getting out.
The standout performance came from Muaz Sadaqat, who remained unbeaten on 68 off 33 balls, hitting 4 sixes and 4 fours. Saim Ayub added 15 not out to finish the chase.
For Multan Sultans, Mohammad Ismail and Steven Smith took one wicket each.
Muaz Sadaqat was declared Player of the Match for his match-winning innings.
Hyderabad Kingsmen will now face Islamabad United in the second eliminator on May 1 in Lahore.
