Mumbai: Bollywood actor Preity Zinta has strongly responded to being referred to as a “trophy” on social media, stating that such labels for women are unacceptable.
During an interaction in a live chat session on X (formerly Twitter), Preity Zinta replied to a user’s comment and said that no woman wants to be treated as a trophy.
“Trainers and trophies belong in glass display cases, but a woman’s place is in your life and in your heart,” she said. Her response has received widespread appreciation online, with users praising her firm and dignified stance.
The actor, known for films such as Kal Ho Naa Ho and Veer-Zaara, also discussed her upcoming projects during the session.
She confirmed that her upcoming film Lahore 1947 is a love story set against the backdrop of the Partition era, highlighting themes of division and conflict.
Preity Zinta further announced that the film is scheduled for release on 13 August 2026.
