Zimbabwe Women’s Cricket Team arrives in Karachi for Pakistan tour
Players and officials were presented with traditional Sindhi Ajrak shawls and bouquets as part of the reception ceremony
Karachi: The Zimbabwe Women’s cricket team has arrived in Karachi for their upcoming tour of Pakistan. The series will feature both One Day Internationals (ODIs) and T20 International matches between the two sides.
The ODI series will be played at the National Bank Stadium, Karachi, with matches scheduled for May 4, 6, and 9. Following the ODI leg, a three-match T20 International series will also be held, with games set for May 12, 14, and 15.
Upon arrival, the visiting team was warmly welcomed. Players and officials were presented with traditional Sindhi Ajrak shawls and bouquets as part of the reception ceremony.
Pakistan has announced a 15-member squad for the series, led by captain Fatima Sana. The squad includes Aliya Riaz, Ayesha Zafar, Diana Baig, Gull Feroza, Muneeba Ali (wicketkeeper), Najiha Alvi (wicketkeeper), Nashra Sandhu, Natalia Parvaiz, Ramin Shamim, Sadia Shams, Sidra Amin, Syeda Aroob Shah, and Tasmia Rubab.
The reserve players are Eman Fatima, Saira Javed, Tooba Hassan, Amber Kainat, and Iram Javed.
Meanwhile, preparations for the series are in full swing, with the Pakistan Women’s team training camp continuing for the third consecutive day at the State Bank of Pakistan Sports Complex. Both teams are scheduled to participate in a practice session at the National Stadium on Thursday evening.
