Mumbai: Bollywood actress Preity Zinta has strongly reacted to being referred to as a “trophy” on social media, stating that labeling women in such a manner is unacceptable.
During a chat session on her X (formerly Twitter) account, she responded to a user’s comment by saying that no woman wants to be a trophy. “Trophies are kept in glass showcases, whereas a woman’s place is in your life and your heart,” she remarked.
Her response received widespread appreciation on social media, with users praising her clear and dignified stance. Preity Zinta is known for successful films such as Kal Ho Naa Ho and Veer-Zaara.
Speaking about her upcoming projects during the session, she shared details about her film Lahore 1947, describing it as a love story set against the backdrop of partition and an era of hatred.
Preity Zinta also confirmed that the film is scheduled for release on August 13, 2026.
