30 US Democrats call for clarity on Israel’s nuclear program
“Policy of ambiguity makes non-proliferation in the Middle East impossible,” letter states

Washington: US Democrats have called for ending ambiguity surrounding Israel’s nuclear program, with 30 members of the House writing a letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
The letter states that the US is supporting a country in conflict with Iran while officially refusing to acknowledge its potential nuclear weapons program.
The lawmakers argued that such a policy of ambiguity makes non-proliferation in the Middle East impossible.
They emphasized that Congress has a constitutional responsibility to be fully informed about nuclear balance in the region, risks of escalation, strategic planning, and possible contingencies.
